About Us:
Continuing Traditions and Legacies: Where Southern meets the Mid-West is exactly what and who Carl and I are. Born and raised at 916 Stanbury Road, SW, Supply, NC (!), I am the Southerner by birth and Carl was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and ended up in the South - Myrtle Beach, SC to be exact. We met - fell in love and blended 4 of our 5 children together. The oldest child (Carl's) was already on her own prior to our meeting and my oldest was just before buying his own home, so we finished raising our children and thought about retirement. But, as life would have it, it was time to move back to NC to take care of my Moma and start learning how to retire. We have one dog who was supposed to become a therapy dog but as it turned out, he needed a little therapy himself! He is so sweet and loving but is super afraid of loud noises like firecrackers, airplanes and guns! Oh, I almost forgot, we have an awesome grandson who is 2.5 years old and his name is Case and another little grandson on the way!!!!
Moma lived to be 95.75 years old. She passed away on April 27, 2025. My father lived to be 81 and he passed away on March 20, 2011. Moma and Daddy built this home in 1952. Moma's Daddy and brothers built the home while my Daddy was serving in the Korean Conflict. This home withstood all the hurricanes of it's time especially Hurricane Hazel. In fact, it housed many from the island and surrounding area that did not have adequate housing for the storm. It is a uniqure house for it's time - as it is cinder block construction on concrete subfloor and brick exterior. Moma added this and that and changed a few things throughout her life and Daddy added the first 2 garages on the front, then the 2 larger ones on the rear and later came the large commercial building behind our property where my father moved his auto mechanics business which he ran part-time while he continued to work full-time for the Department of Transportation until his retirementment at which time, he opened his business full time. Later on, my father groomed my youngest brother to take on the business upon his retirement as part of my brother's inherientance and he continues the business to this day. A little more on my parents later. But for now, here we are . . . . . Pamela and Carl
