Take a Short Trip Over to Southport & Wilmington

Southport is home to the 4th of July Parade and festivities. It was the former County seat. It is where you catch the ferry to Bald Head Island and to Kure Beach. Enjoy the shops in downtown Southport and all of the wonderful eateries along the streets as well as the waterfront. Catch the ferry over to Bald Head and enjoy a day of site seeing. You can also catch the ferry over to Kure Beach, travel via your car to Carolina Beach and then drive through Wilmington and back to Holden Beach. Or, enjoy the island of Long Beach and Yaupon Beach which is referred to as Oak Island.

Just a 20 minute car ride to the South End of NC and the North End of SC

When you are eager to drive and see more, travel over to Ocean Isle, Sunset Beach or Calabash for some famous seafood. A few more miles and you will be in Little River, SC, North Myrtle Beach and before you know it Myrtle Beach, SC. Shopping, attractions, Tanger Outlets (2), Bass Pro, Airport, Ocea Drive where you can dance (Shag) your night away.
